How we earn commissions

AquaVerdict participates in affiliate programs with SpringWell, Aquasana, and other water filtration manufacturers and retailers. When a reader clicks a link on this site and makes a purchase, we may earn a commission from the sale. The commission is paid by the retailer — it does not add to the price you pay.

Affiliate income is how this site stays independent and free to read. We do not charge for access, do not accept sponsored content, and do not sell advertising placements. Commissions are the only revenue source.

Why commissions do not change verdicts

Every system is scored on the same five checkpoints regardless of whether we have an affiliate relationship with the brand. Commission rates vary by program — some brands pay more per sale than others. If a higher-paying brand scores lower on the spec sheet, it gets a lower score. That is the only system that keeps the verdicts trustworthy.
