Head-to-Head Verdicts
Same spec sheet, same install math, one winner — and we link to both either way. No brand gets a pass because it paid more.
How we run comparisons
Every head-to-head starts from the same five checkpoints we use for individual reviews: true media capacity in gallons, flow rate at actual service conditions (not peak marketing claims), certification scope, all-in 10-year cost including installation labor and media replacement, and documented failure modes. Both systems get scored on the same rubric. The one with more points wins. We link to the full review for both contestants so you can verify the math yourself.
We don't pick winners based on commission rates. If the lower-commission system scores higher, it wins. Our affiliate disclosure lists every brand we earn from. Our evaluation method explains exactly how the scoring works.
